With Strala, your yoga will transform into a moving meditation that cultivates a radiantly strong, connected, healthy, and inspired body and mind from the inside out.This training gives the tools you need to become the leader you’re meant to be: to yourself, those nearest you, or to millions of people around the world. Whether you’re interested in leading Strala classes, or incorporating new sequences, attitudes, and expansiveness into your existing classes, Strala Intensive for Teachers will take your practice to a far-reaching level.
You’ll learn how to understand and lead a Strala STRONG class, including sequencing, pace, flow, language and music.
We begin with observing your breath, rooting firmly into your natural state of flow, and connecting to creativity and intuition. From here, we move with ease during restful and challenging circumstances alike. When you find ease in effort, your body and life both become very capable and strong. The mind is freed to travel inward, finding peace, calm, and a natural source of sustainable inspiration. You get happy! And you can help many others along the way too.

You are strongly encouraged to attend 9:30am BASICS, 11am STRONG, and 4:30pm RELAX each Saturday and Sunday.
Class prices for the weekends of attendance in the training are included. We encourage you to take as many classes as possible to gain a deeper understanding and application.

Named “Yoga Rebel” by the New York Times, Tara Stiles is the founder and owner of Strala, widely known for it’s unpretentious, inclusive, and straightforward approach to yoga and healthy living. She has inspired a wide audience around the world with her healthy and relatable approach to yoga, meditation, awareness, nutrition, and everyday well-being. Tara is the author of bestsellers Slim Calm Sexy Yoga and Yoga Cures. Tara is featured in publications including Elle, Lucky, InStyle, Esquire, Shape, and Self, and profiled by several national and international papers including the Times of India, The Times (UK), and Sweden’s Dagnes Nyheter. She is the personal instructor to Deepak Chopra, with whom she’s collaborated to create the Authentic Yoga app, as well as the Yoga Transformation DVD series, among other projects. Jane Fonda named Tara “The new face of fitness.” She is the co-director the Westchester Institute of Yoga, founded by Tao Porchon-Lynch in 1982. She’s also an advisory board member of LiveStrong. As Vanity Fair noted, “Tara Stiles has got to be the coolest yoga instructor ever.”
Mike is a co-founder, yoga guide, and resident healer at Strala. He’s practiced Eastern movement and healing techniques for more than two decades, including tai chi, qigong, and shiatsu. Mike studied mind-body medicine at Harvard, and alternative medicine and psychology at Oxford. After running into walls with standard medical practice in the U.S. and England, Mike left his healthcare roots for about a decade, joining and founding several web companies. He now serves on the board of social media company Odyl. As Strala has grown, Mike has found his way back to health care done right: helping people let go of stress in their bodies and minds, and become their own best caregivers. Mike climbs a few mountains in his spare time, and is the husband of yoga master Tara Stiles.
Heidi is Strala’s General Manager and part of the creative team. She’s also Strala’s resident upside-down girl: in classes, leading them, and as part of the 200+Hour Ready to Lead Program and the Strala Intensive for Teachers. Nothing makes Heidi happier than being able to share her love of yoga and being upside down in the most fun, safe way possible. A true believer that “Yoga Cures”: lengthening and strengthening through yoga led to a healed herniated disc in Heidi’s cervical spine and prevented surgery of two broken vertebrae in her lumbar spine. Heidi maintains an intense focus on core integration and alignment stemming from her desire to use yoga as a tool to heal and strengthen the body, and believes that playfulness is vital: always balancing strength with levity. In her classes, expect to breathe, laugh and sweat! Featured in numerous publications, Heidi is a Brand Ambassador for SOLOW Sport and contributes to MindBodyGreen, where she details her quest to find the most delicious and nutritious ways to fuel and re-fuel pre and post-yoga.
