If you decide to set aside the time, gather the ingredients, and bake a pie, don’t settle for only a small piece of it. That’s your pie, do with it what you like, but know that you created it.
If you contribute only the crust, or the dish, or the oven, then dividing the pie makes more sense. The pie is now a collaboration. Share the pie with ease and don’t be stingy for what you didn’t create.
Be honest with yourself about what you contribute and what you’re worth. Sometimes baking a pie with friends is nice and sometimes it’s nice to bake your own.
I like pies. I like to bake my own and I like to bake with friends.
If you are really rather talented at baking pies and you bake many more than you possibly have yourself, share your pies (before they go stale) with the world.
p.s. and never forget, don’t bake pies with people you don’t want in your kitchen.
The only protection from life is not participating in it.
If you do anything at all with your life, people will comment in all directions. Some might be positive, some negative, and everything in between.
If you do something useful in your life people might be able to find value in what you offer. You might help people in more ways than you know.
If you do something creative in your life that catches on with more than a few people, you will be copied and criticized. You will also be praised and inspire a whole lot of people to do great thing with their lives..
If you are successful in your life, people will invent stories of your success that might not have any basis in what is true in your life. You are the only one that can define your success.
The great thing is this has all happened before to many many many people who live life, create things, do something useful, and find success and meaning.
You are not the first, nor the last to experience all of the above.
You can get stressed out by everything that isn’t right in line with how you think it should be, or you can realize that this all has happened a zillion times before and enjoy the adventures life presents to you.
The only thing that will save you from life is not participating in it. But I don’t that’s the kind of saving your looking for. It’s up to you.
Stay safe, keep put, and get in line, or make your own rules, take a risk, and enjoy the ride.
A Spicy yummy upgrade to peanut sauce has been on mind for a while now, hanging out on the back burner somewhere. Overdue for a lunch break I was scrolling through Pinterest at yummy things to eat. After catching a glimpse at a peanut sauce dish I remembered my vision and zoomed over to the kitchen to play.
Now in all honesty, I play in the kitchen a lot. Sometime recipes turn out super yummy and sometimes they flop. I use all fresh, super good ingredients so it’s rarely something is completely inedible, unless it’s burned to a crisp granola, which I’ve done, oops, or cookie mush all over the oven, which has happened more than a few times. Oops! Today was a true victory of heath and an insanely good meal that I can’t wait to make for guests.
